Help Is Neeeded ASAP

Obviously, something has taken Jersey Devil away from this board temporarily. I know he was hospitalized recently so maybe it is a health issue. Since no one seems to be "in charge" at the moment, I'd like to express concern that the recent posts by spammers posting links to porno sites may seriously harm this board's reputation, unless they can be removed immediately.

As a stopgap measure, I have replied to each of these posts and copied the board rules into my reply. I know this feeble measure will not stop these posters, but at least anyone else viewing their posts while they are still up will know that that what they are doing is contrary to this board's policies, as established by Jersey Devil.

I hope you are well, JD! I also hope one of our assistant moderators will take charge of the situation until JD returns.

In the meantime, I send my Christmas Greetings to all of the faithful posters who have made this board a pleasure to be a part of!

You cannot delete these posts ? Does anyone have admin access ? They are getting pretty bad (like the Britney one). I hope JD is doing OK !

I'm a relative newcomer this board and I'm not an administrator so, no, I cannot delete anyone's posts. I'm sure there were other administrators that occasionally helped out JerseyDevil but maybe they're away. Traffic to this board has been light lately. It must be the holidays.

I just did what I could to let new visitors who come here realize that the porno posters were violating the board's rules.

I'm sure JD will take care of it all soon!

Gotcha, kudos for posting those replies. It's all you can do without the admin power. I'm not sure who else has this access, if you do maybe you can drop them an email if they have that in their profiles. That's all I can think of. Happy Holidays !

yes I agree these threads can be very harmful to the board and I appreciate your concern. I saw your posts under some of the threads and I sent you a request asking if you would like to be Admin. I sent out the request prior to the seeing this thread.

I'm doing okay now and thanks for your concern. I try to stay up on these spammers, but it can get hard at times. I will be in Tennessee during Christmas from the 23rd - 28th so having an active concerned member as an additional Admin would be very helpful.

I really do not want potential members being turned off by a bunch of spammers. This board is a family friendly board and it is terrible that spammers have no sense of decency.
