Hello.

I am part of the Suffern Chamber of Commerce, and would like to post the following announcement:

The Suffern Music & Arts Festival is all about community in the 21st century. Music and the arts is our world’s universal language. So when this village, located in the heart of New York’s Ramapo mountain region of Rockland county chose “THRIVING” over “SURVIVING” this economy, they looked to that “one voice” to speak out.

It’s ONE PURPOSE, ONE WEEKEND, and it is SEISMIC.

Attending is easy. Suffern is about 25 miles north of New York City. Mass transit trains and buses have stops right at the heart of the weekend’s action. Plenty of parking, and unending attractions to make a pedestrian journey engaging.

From the charm of one of the nation’s landmark theater venues - - - The Lafayette built in the 1920’s - - - to the solar-powered outdoor staging, harmonies will fill the air. Between each performance will be renowned artistry from famed photographers to area painters. Storefronts will be converted in jam sessions and galleries. Culinary and cultural accents reflective of Suffern’s Mexican, Italian, Indian, and Irish residents will provide a tasteful accent along with an American heartland flavor of the Village’s Farmers’ Market.

It’s all here. It’s always been here. And we share it with you at the one purposeful, seismic weekend that should not be missed.
