Welcome Bayshore Brawlers - can you provide more information about this league and the team? I'll check out the site in more depth, but is this similar to say the minor league baseball teams?
New Jersey is the only state honored by two resorts at Walt Disney World. The Beach Club Resort, modeled after Historic Cape May and The Boardwalk Resort, after Atlantic City. If the Jersey Shore is good enough for Walt Disney to recreate, isn't the REAL Jersey Shore even better for you and your family?

The talent level is similar to minor league baseball, but obviously in football. However, we do not have the entertainment, or promotions , like lets say the BlueClaws. We are more for the game itself, then anything. But, this can be fun for the entire family, and its affordable (free), so you can`t beat it Now for the league. Its a Pennsylvania based league (PFL), with us being the only team out of state. Its played 6 on 6, rather, then the NFL`s 11 on 11, or the AFL`s 8 on 8. So it`s unique style of play makes for an exciting high scoring game (most of the time lol). Well, I hope that I was somewhat of a help to your questions. And if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Hope to see you at the game!

Here is the official re-cap of the game...

BRAWLERS HAD "THE BOOM" AGAINST THE THUNDER

Laurence Harbor, NJ - The Lykens Thunder traveled 2.5 hours to the Laurence Harbor Little League Field Complex to face off against the reigning PFL/6 champions the Bayshore Brawlers. The Thunder were coming off an opening week loss to the Susquehanna Valley Stallions, while the Brawlers were coming off their bye week. The match up could have easily been pinned the youthful Thunder vs. the veteran Brawlers and for this round the veterans overcame the heat and the much improved Thunder by the final score of 38-7.

The Thunder would start off with the ball, but on a 4th and 1 Antoine Tolbert would intercept a TJ Warren pass and the Brawlers would set up shop on Thunder's 19 yard line. Frank Susino would begin the drive with quick 6 yard pass to Fred Leo and Jason Smith would end it with a 12 yard run with the 2-pt XP being good. The Thunder would not stay quiet as Warren had an excellent kickoff return and would run the ball in for the TD and the extra point as the Brawlers were up 8-7, but Fred Leo would quickly strike back on an untouched 47 yard kickoff return as Jason Smith ran the ball in for the extra point.

Penalties and incomplete passes are what stalled the Thunders next offensive possession as once again the Brawlers were given excellent field position as QB Frank Susino ran the ball in himself from one yard out and took the ball himself on the extra point, the score was now reading 22-7 Brawlers. Once again, incomplete passes by the Thunder and two sacks by the Brawlers (David Morera and Brawlers rookie Stephon Hickson) lead to another stall for the Thunder's offense. Brawlers rookie, John Hartman, ran the ball in from 1 yard out as Leo caught the XP pass from Susino to make the game 30-7 and Fred Leo would recover an excellently placed onside kick to end the first quarter.

As usual, the Thunder did not give up or hang their heads down after the first quarter as they stopped the Brawlers running attack and Liddick intercepted a Susino pass to give the Thunder excellent field position, but on the next Thunder drive Marques Haynes would have back to back sacks(one was assisted by Tolbert) and John Hartman would run the ball easily from the one yard line. Susino would continue his excellent passing day by hitting Hickson with the XP, the score was now 38-7 and that's how it would end as the Lykens Thunder, due to unknown reasons, decided to throw the towel in, And call it a game.

The Thunder walked off the field sporting and 0-2 record while the Brawlers continue to win and start off 2007 with a solid win to begin the season.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven`t been on here in a while. I`ve been busy lately. Heres whats new with the Brawlers. Tommorow, they are traveling to Williamsport, PA to take on the Wildcats in the 3rd annual Keystone Bowl. This game should be a classic, and will not be an easy win for any team, by any means. The Brawlers are looking for their second championship in two seasons!

    Thumbs up

And your Bayshore Brawlers are your 2007 PFL/6 Champions!!!...

KEYSTONE BOWL III ... In the books as one of THE greatest games EVER!
    September 30, 2007 - 09:40 AM --

    DATELINE: Union Deposit, PA

As advertised, the KEYSTONE BOWL III was truly a knock-down, drag-out, chock-full-of-action PFL/6 Football Shootout!

The WILLIAMSPORT WILDCATS came in to the game as amped up as that team has EVER been, and it showed. Especially early on. It was the 'CATS that put the first points on the board, after summarily dismissing the Offensive attack of the BRAWLERS and then finding chinks in the BRAWLERS Defensive armor. On a scale of 1 - 10, the WILDCATS had it set on about 12.5! EVERYONE contributed...on offense, the front line opened holes and allowed time for pass plays to develop. HUGE kudos to #52/Derek Hans, #62/Bill Helm and #71/Bob Tobias for OUTstanding work up front. Further, #17/Javon Beamer, #36/Jimmy Gautieri and #8/Andy Shaffer (along with all others platooning in and out on the "O" Side...#20...#3...etc.) made it sizzle for the WILDCATS' offense, all day long, which was HUGE! The 'CATS "D" was also tough as nails. You could not ask for much more out of #58/Phil Wakefield, #75/Steve Helm, #52/Derek Hans, #54/Brian Regan up front along with #50/Steve Sechrist at LB, and #2/Chris Olson and #9/Mike Kaufmann at DBs (plus everyone else who platooned in and out)! ALSO...the Special Teams squad(s) kept the WILDCATS close...and with good field position...all game long!

With all of that being said, and as stout as the WILDCATS were, it would be the BRAWLERS' Day, once again, in the sun of the KEYSTONE BOWL! The Bayshore Boyz came out to Pennsy with every weapon, offensive and defensive, that they needed to get the job done! It wasn't long after the WILDCATS first score of the game, that the BRAWLERS put it in gear, and got to work. And, for the most part, they were also a "machine"...not unlike their counterparts! Up front on "O" huge acknowlegement must go to #65/Bill Lawton, #69/John Mulligan and #85/Marques Haynes for opening lanes and providing the time needed in the backfield for things to happen. That being the case, #5/Ed Cox, #6/David "Spanky" Morera and #2/Sy Patterson were able to make the blocks plus tote, toss and catch the rock. The BRAWLERS "D" was its typical tough-guy contingent. They matched up well with the 'CATS, and both sides had their times to shine...again, this was about as evenly-matched of a game as could have been asked for! #00/Stephon Hickson, #54/Dave Strollo, #98/Antoine Tolbert provded the D-Line push all day. #44/John Hartman (hope that knee's not to badly hurt, btw...) along with #40/J.J. Bringhurst, #14/Fred Leo and #13/Frank Susino patrolling the "2nd Level" and the Defensive Backfield.

When the Game Clock read 00:00, after the 4th Quarter wound down, there were a total of 148 cumulative points put up on the board! That's 31 points shy of the All-Time PFL/6 Game-Scoring Record of 179 Points, believe it or not (...which was wracked up in the Week #5 DEVILS win over the THUNDER, where that score was 117 - 62)!

However, the 148 total points should be a PFL/6 Post-Season and/or KEYSTONE BOWL Scoring Record (...the Elias Sports Bureau IS being consulted on this one for confirmation thereof...)!

THE FINAL SCORE FROM THE KEYSTONE BOWL III: BRAWLERS 84 - WILCATS 64

So, here endeth the 2007 PFL/6 Season on a HUGE High Note for both teams, really. Yes, one team must be the victor and another team must deal with a loss. But, from an overall/League standpoint, both teams were GIGANTICALLY SUCCESSFUL both at the KEYSTONE BOWL III and All Season LONG! And, to the BRAWLERS' and WILDCATS' Fans, Friends and Family, thanks for all the support all year long! To the rest of the PFL/6ers who attended the game...and there were plenty from the ENERGY...MANIAX...STALLIONS...and DEVILS your support means a lot, and knowing the brotherhood that there is in this league, for the most part, it was good to know that other teams' members were happy to be on-hand to root for the two best PFL/6 teams in 2007 (Hmmmmmm ... did anyone else notice that, conspicuously, there was no one present at the game from the THUNDER?! This reporter, for one, is shocked Go figure! [Yes...that WAS sarcasm] Stay tuned for how that whole "goat rodeo" plays out in the weeks to come...)

On a side note, the Bayshore Brawlers are now accepting inquiries for sponsorships for the 2008 season. Anyone interested please e-mail us at Bayshorebrawlers@yahoo.com . Thanks to all who supported us this season, we hope to see you and many others next year at our home games!

    - A team PROUD to be from NEW JERSEY
