    Default Parking Police

I just want to post a big F U to the paring police of Ventnor City. Your unkind and relentless ways really increase the level of morale around here. It's really welcoming to be a tenant in a town like this and receive multiple tickets from you. Thank you, YOU ****ING PIECES OF ****!!!

    Default Ventnor

That town has a lot of problems.

Rumor is that the top three elected officials (one guy a dictator and the other two a pair of weak yes-men) might face a stiff election next time around. Time to clean house.

People unhappy about taxes. Spend and waste, waste and spend.

People unhappy about all the blight after the failed redevelopment effort, which left some neighborhoods worse off than before.

People unhappy about how everything is forced to a "fight" and taking things to court. Legal bills must sock the taxpayers for a bundle.

People unhappy about how ugly the dunes made the beaches.

The parking police are just out doing their thing, which is to bring in as much $$$$ as possible to city piggie bank. They must not care about businesses needing customer traffic. Businesses will be packing up and moving out.

    Default Just wait for summer

If you think the meter lads and maids were bad in the winter - just wait! They are increasing the parking fees all over and reducing the time on the meter - so if a quarter got you 20 minutes, double check - it may be down to 15 minutes now - and they will be out to ticket you.

What could be done then? These things shouldn't be happening.

Default Kick out the idiots in office

The town's Commission is a joke.

They ran a deficit of $2 million + over the past year because 730 people filed tax assessment appeals and "won" $90 million in reduced valuations. They also saw property tax collections fall from 98% to 93% and probably because over 300 homes in tha town are in pre-foreclosure.

Yet the mayor has put up a palace for a library, calling it a community center, which has a BALLET STUDIO in it, and is plunging ahead on plans to put up a $2 million spite groin out on the beach.

Obviously, the parking meter rates show a town hungry for money because they don't manage the millions they already collect very well.

The only thing to do is kick out the ones in power, since they don't know what they're doing.

AC has had a string of lousy mayors and crooked pols - best way to check it out is to see what they do AFTER they leave office! They're either suing the city for some trumped up grievance or trying to get back into politics, squeezing settlements out of the poor taxpayers or finding some way to get back onto the public payroll - why don't these career politicians ever get REAL JOBS and pay their own way in life? Why is the answer always squeezing that extra parking fee or "violation" out of the people who are hauling their freight?

    Default park anywhere you please?

I guess tht this is a problem that is common to most cities but one would have thought that with an ever growing population and with more cars on the road, these guys would at least cut down on the rates since they would be getting more people to charge with. But that does not seem to be happening at all!
