I just wanted to let people know that many of the hello threads being started are just by spammers. They may be automated spambots which go onto messageboards and post. If they don't make any comment specific to the site, then most likely they are not an actual user. I try to say hello to everyone when they first join and make a meaningful post to the board.

Also, I do not know why - it must be the order of the threads or something. All spambots seem to post in the "Jersey Shore - General Discussion" thread. These are then either deleted - or they are moved to the "Outside New Jersey - General Discussion" thread.

If anyone sees any porn links or any other threads which contain unusual links - please be aware that we will get to delete them. if you wish - you may send me a PM letting me know. I had discovered that I had missed a couple. I do not want them polluting this messageboard.

Some jerk yesterday regiatered and did a bunch of ads for stupid cell phones. They postged 17 threads and I had to delete the damn things. The spammers are getting worse and in order to keep this place organized, I have to keep up on these jerks. Spammers are really destroying the internet.

Hi, JD!

I recently read an article about the demise this year of Usenet newsgroups, the internet message board system that had existed since 1980. I don't have a link, but the article stated that almost no internet service providers carried them because they contained too much spam and porn. My ISP carries only the Microsoft message boards.
