Has anyone ever heard of this guy. He is a 75 year old New Jersey Native from Phillipsburg who penned a would be state song "Im from New Jersey" that has been tied up in legislature since 1961. in 1972 both houses approved the song but the sitting gonerner vetoed it. He still leads the adoption every year and strolls the state house giving candy to senators in the hopes his song will be adopted. Another tidbit from The Bathroom Reader.

Yeah and everyone thinks his song is the state song. I feel sorry for him and I honor his efforts - but I can't stand his song. I am completely against it becoming the state song. I have contacted many websites to make sure they remove it when they have it erroneously listed as the state song. I should move this thread into the NJ section, but since on his website he includes versions for a lot of different places, I'll leave it here. The less his sogn is associated with NJ the better. :)

I have never heard the song.
You can hear it, along with the other state song candidates if you go to the links I provided above. I prefer "In New Jersey" which was written in song by 4th graders in Bridgewater. I am hoping that that song will become to the state song.
