hey guys and girls, whats going on?

im new here on this site, and i was reading through a lot of the threads and found a lot of anger about how our beautiful state is percieved by the rest of the country. I too, share the passion to inform the ignorant people on how beautiful New Jersey is, and defend our state.

as an aspiring film maker, i figure i could help in the fight by making a documentry about our lovely state... but i could really use your help with ideas and locations, to film during this upcoming summer. i would REALLY like to make a knock-out film and submit it to NJN, and upload it onto Youtube, and maybe even the travel channel, and/or other channels that can help spread it around.

what im looking for are places you think really capture the beauty and best kept secrets that are in our borders. i live about 10 miles from Princeton, and that is definatly one location i will film heavily... other ideas are the water gap, down the shore, and the pine berrands... but i need more ideas and locations to jump start this project. thanks for your help and intrest!

Welcome Firestorm! As you can see I am very passionate about New Jersey. If you are interested, I would very much like to be involved and help you out. I have a lot of tourism contacts throughout the state. I moved 6 months ago from Plainsboro and used to go to school in Princeton so I am very familiar with that area. I will send you a PM or you can send me a PM to further discuss how we can work together and what ideas I have. I'm not sure if you are aware - but I did have travel videos that were being worked on, but then that ended up not working out. This is something I am still extremely interested in having on AboutNewJersey.com.

BTW - I moved this thread to the New Jersey Discussion thread.

Here are some of my involvements....

VP of Princeton Battlefield Society (http://www.SavePrincetonBattlefield.org)
Board Member for Shore Region Tourism Council (http://www.ShoreRegion.com)
Academy Member for NJ Hall of Fame (http://www.NJHallofFame.com)
Webmaster for Crossroads of the American Revolution (http://www.RevolutionaryNJ.org)

I am also a member of the various other tourism councils and Celebrate NJ.

awesome, sounds like you're just the person to work with, haha.. i was born and raised in Hillsborough... which is just 2 towns north of Princeton. my mom has a book store right on nassau street called Glen Echo books... name comes from Glenn Echo farm down in swedesborough... which was my dad's family's farm.. bottleing spring water and such.

im looking to make a documentry, most likely in the summer/fall when everything looks the nicest :) any ideas would greatly be appreciated.. and any help would be as well. thanks

Hi Firestorm, In my opinion you might start with beautiful Cap May. Also Medford which is like no other place on earth will be great. These places are unique and would sure let people know how beautiful New Jersey is. Marianita:)
